Our Herd

We have a mixed herd of both ADCA-registered and commercial Dexter cattle. Our goal is to raise the highest quality dexters possible that produce productive replacement heifers, and steers that exhibit exceptional carcass characteristics that thrive on a 100% grass-based system. 

All of our cattle have been genetically tested and are homozygous polled and negative for both PHA and Chondrodysplasia.  The herd is rotationally grazed from late April - November on improved native grass pastures. In the winter the cows have free access to high quality Bermuda hay produced right here on our farm. Our calves are fence-line weaned around 7/8 months of age and are fed a free choice diet of pasture grass and fresh grass hay and alfalfa (sourced from Colorado).
